Mobile Comunidad is currently seeking one or two people from Jeff Davis County to become trained as Community Health Workers (CHWs). Paid training will be provided by the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center via distance learning.
CHWs will assist community members in gaining access to needed services and will build relationships between individuals, the community, and the area’s healthcare system.
The Bookmobile/Outreach Librarian will be an outreach representative of Mobile Comunidad, taking services to those unable to come to a library and living in Jeff Davis County, Texas. The Bookmobile Librarian will be responsible to a Mobile Comunidad founder or designee in matters of finance and final decisions as to route and major bookmobile maintenance. This is a part-time position to start with future full-time potential. Starting pay is $15/hour. Saturdays required.
